Overview

This 8-hour workshop delivers the core Design Thinking framework for product development, blending theory, hands-on activities, and organizational scaling strategies. Participants gain practical skills in human-centered design through interactive sessions. The structure fits a standard workday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with breaks for collaboration.

Morning: Foundations (9:00 AM - 12:30 PM, 3.5 hours)

  • Introduction & Empathize (1 hour): Icebreaker, Design Thinking overview with case studies (Apple, Airbnb), and user research via empathy mapping and personas.
  • Define Phase (1 hour): Synthesize insights into HMW statements, prioritization (MoSCoW matrix), and Problem Canvas creation.
  • Short Break & Group Activity (1.5 hours): Affinity diagramming and reflection to identify top user insights.

Afternoon: Ideation to Scaling (1:30 PM - 5:00 PM, 4.5 hours)

  • Ideate & Prototype (2 hours): Brainstorming (SCAMPER, dot voting), rapid low-fidelity prototypes using tools like Figma/Miro.
  • Test & Iterate (1 hour): User testing techniques (think-aloud, usability metrics), feedback sessions, and iteration.
  • Scaling & Wrap-Up (1 hour): Organizational adoption strategies, innovation metrics (NPS, CSAT), trends (AI, sustainability), and certification closure.
  • Includes 30-min lunch and two 15-min breaks for sustained energy.
